Hi, I’m Samir Shah.
Growing up in rural Southern Maryland, many of my experiences have and continue to shape who I am. Currently, a senior at the Calverton School, I engage in a variety of activities that pique my interests.
I’m the founder of the Fly4aCure Kite Festival, an active participant of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, and I am dedicated to a career in medicine and healthcare policy.
Read about my personal journey to research and advocacy here, and find out more about my work and interests below.
Fly4aCure
In March 2018, I organized and co-founded Fly4aCure, a kite festival fundraising event that raised over $412,000 for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
Clean Water Initiative
From 2015-2018, I raised funds and organized a service initiative to install reverse osmosis filtration pumps in several rural villages in Gujarat, India and conduct workshops to improve public health awareness.
